Distance Learning Pinterest Board

It's about time, teachers, for distance learning.  These historic times have us all scrambling to find teaching material appropriate for our students while they cannot be in our schools.  To help with this, I created a collaborative Pinterest board dedicated to distance learning resources.

If you would like to join this board, send me an email at: itsabouttimeteachers@gmail.com

An Apology for the Apologies

a
Apparently I need to apologize for my apologies; the ones I never got written.

The rest of my spring has been filled with more grandchildren -- literally.  Our newest granddaughter came a bit early. So, we had no sooner left for NC for granddaughter #2's birthday, than we received word that Aria Melinda was here.  Our son and daughter-in-law wanted us to come for 2 weeks.  So, 1.5 days after driving home from NC, we flew to sunny CA.  [Just as an aside: why in the world do I live in central IL when there is such a paradise on the west coast?  Maybe the hubs and I can retire there.]

2 days after returning from CA, our daughter's family, the N. Carolinians, came for a 2 week stay.  The kids were tracked out and they had to come back to the midwest to look for housing as her husband has been transferred to the Quad Cities.  Great news for us since the grandkids will now be 3 hours away rather than 12.  But, it was a very busy 2 weeks with 3 little ones running around the house.

It has taken me a little while to recover from all of this grandparenting.  And now, it's summer. Whew.  I'll really try to do better with my blog, just in case anyone is still following.

I have finally taken the plunge and created some collaborative Pinterest boards.  If you are interested in joining any/all of them, please email me with your request:
itsabouttimeteachers@gmail.com.  You have to follow the boards before I can invite you to collaborate.

Between grandchildren, I did manage to create a few new products.  Check these out:

The Best of 2013

The new year is here!  Traditionally, radio stations and television shows prepare a list of the most important news stories and/or best songs of the past year.   In that same vein, Stephanie @ Principal's Principles, has created a linky party of the best pins of 2013.  Fun!

Here are my top 5 Pinterest pins:

I love Pinterest and it has shown me some love right back.  Such an awesome site!  What are your 5 best pins of 2013?

Happy New Year!  And, happy pinning!

I'd love it if you followed me on Pinterest!

Pinteresting Boards for G/T & HOTS

Collaborative Pinterest boards for Gifted & Talented,  Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), enrichment, and differentiated instruction!

If you follow my blog, you know that these topics are near and dear to my heart.  You also know that I have been posting lists of collaborative boards on specific topics; kindergarten and 1st grade, to date.  But when I tried to compile a list of Pinterest boards for G/T, HOTS, enrichment, and differentiation, I did not get very far.  Here's what I have been able to find:

So, I'm asking for your help.  If you know of any collaborative boards for G/T, enrichment, HOTS, and/or differentiation, will you please post the link in a comment?  Then I can expand this list to make it more comprehensive.

Thanks!

Pinterest Price Dilemna

I had the good fortune to read Laura Candler's blog post about price tags on Pinterest.  In a nutshell, it seems unwise to put a price on items you pin because you may run a sale or change the price.  Laura suggests just putting $ on priced items to let pinners know it's not a freebie.  Laura's idea sounds great to me!  You can read her entire post here.  Thanks Laura!

End-of-summer, back to school, or out of this world...whatever you want to call the sale frenzy we are all in, I'm joining it!  Check out my Teachers Notebook shop.

This sale is for EVERYTHING in my Teachers Notebook shop.  This sale lasts until 8/31/12.  Hurry on over!
